Lifetime Skills Academy is looking for instructors with a passion for creative outlets, a very exciting opportunity to work with an organization known for its diverse range of programming and essential skills lessons. We are looking for instructors with a strong teaching background that will be given the freedom of developing their art curriculum, including but not limited to drawing, painting, modelling, and other forms of creative expression.
Full-time, and Part-time positions are available
Specific Responsibilities:
- Lead art classes with six to eight students
- Actively guide students towards completing the assigned project
- Classroom management
- Advance student knowledge following curriculum
- Lesson plan development
- Room setup and organization
- Motivate and engage students
- Communicating clear instructions and guiding a team of younger instructors
- Willing to develop art curriculum
Qualifications:
- Knowledge in Creative Arts
- Experience teaching students ages 6 to 16
- Good classroom management skills
- Willingness to learn
- Interest in developing artistic classes, expanding student knowledge in the creative arts
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience with painting and drawing
- Knowledge of various materials, art supplies, tools, and how to use them
- 3D printing and design experience an asset
